Delete your account

You can delete your Siddur Or Zarua account at any time, and you do not need the app installed to ask for it.

Ask by email

Write to or-zarua@danielpedroso.com from the address you sign in with, and say you would like your account deleted. Nothing else is needed. Accounts are deleted within 30 days of the request, and usually the same day.

Or delete it yourself in the app

If you have the app installed and can sign in, this is quicker: open Settings, then use Delete account. It asks once to confirm, then deletes straight away.

What is deleted

Everything held on our server for your account, which is:

  • your email address, which is the only thing identifying the account
  • your yahrzeit records, including any name and date you entered
  • your reading preferences, such as theme, font size and calendar settings
  • your Omer count, meaning which days you marked as counted
  • any web push notification subscription

It is deleted outright rather than flagged as inactive, and it cannot be recovered afterwards. You are welcome to make a new account later with the same email address.

What stays on your device

Anything the app keeps only on your device is not ours to delete, and a server-side deletion does not touch it. That includes your saved location, and any yahrzeits or preferences from before you signed in. To remove those, uninstall the app, or clear this site’s data in your browser if you use it on the web.

Privacy

What the app handles, why, and what choices you have is set out in full in our privacy policy.
